Fall Guys Season 2 Trailer Reveals Medieval-Themed Update

Games

Devolver Digital and Mediatonic revealed Fall Guys season 2 during Gamescom 2020, the first major seasonal content update for the party game phenomenon of the summer. The new season will feature new stages and skins inspired by the middle ages and classic fantasy. Skins include adorable wizard costumes as well as mighty knights, dragons, witches, and what looks like…vikings?

Check out the trailer for Fall Guys season 2:

The trailer teases castle-themed stages that will both challenge competitors’ timing as well as their balance. One stage even includes what looks like some type of spike trap, which looks painful, especially if you’re a little bean in a chicken costume.

One thing fans were anxious to hear more about was release dates for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and mobile versions of the game. While China is getting a mobile port, Mediatonic had nothing to say about any new ports coming to North America or Europe. It seems like players waiting patiently for Fall Guys to finally hit their preferred platform will have to wait a bit longer. At the moment, the game is only available on PlayStation 4 and PC.

Fall Guys seems purposefully built to forever dominate Twitch streams, YouTube Let’s Plays, and social media, mainly because it offers up enough calamitous humor and joy that it’s even fun to watch other players bumble their way towards the finish,” wrote our reviewer in his analysis of the game and he couldn’t be more right.

If you’ve not been following Fall Guys fever, you’re seriously missing out. Released last month, the game pits 60 players against each other in an elimination-based competition, a race to be the last bean standing so vicious that this writer has spent many sleepless nights wondering when he might finally win a crown. Watch me get so very close below:

Needless to say, Beak the Geek was not enthused.

Since the game’s launch, Fall Guys has become the most-watched game on Twitch, beating AAA blockbusters like Call of Duty: Modern WarfareValorant, and Grand Theft Auto V, a feat that couldn’t have seemed more impossible before launch. But with Fall Guys currently the third most popular game on Steam behind only Valve’s own Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2, it’s safe to say Mediatonic’s little project is indie darling of 2020. Even outside brands are begging Mediatonic for a chance to appear in the game through crossover skins!

Fall Guys season 2 will drop this October.
