SDCC 2020: The Boys renewed for Season Three

News, TV

Still reeling from the Season Two The Boys teaser trailer? Well, be prepared for more explosive action because not only has the Amazon Prime show been renewed for a third season, we have also been shown a clip from the second season, which involves a rather unfortunate incident with a giant whale (skip to around 6.10 in the below video for that one).

Check out the entire panel here:

This was all revealed in the hilarious The Boys’ Comic Con@Home panel hosted by Aisha Tyler, which included executive producer Eric Kripke, and stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, and Aya Cash.

The announcement for Season Three came from executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (at 54.50 in the video) who joked that they hope to start filming at some point this decade due to the current pandemic, but perhaps we may see superheroes in hermetically sealed suits at this rate!

The Boys Season Two will be launched on Amazon Prime 4 September. SDCC 2020 will be running from 23-26 July, here’s a handy guide on what to expect over the weekend.
